LibGSM is a versatile GSM library designed for quick, easy and seamless integration with C/C++ applications. It simplifies the process of powering up, initialising, and communicating with GSM modems in order to reliably add features such as cellular-based SMS, HTTP and MQTT to your projects.
We’ve spent hundreds of hours developing and testing a GSM Library so that you don’t have to, enabling you to get your project to market faster and at a lower cost.
The SMS Receive module, along with all dependent modules, is free to use. You can download and use this module without limitations to test the library’s functionality.
LibGSM is built on an advanced non-blocking, event-driven architecture, enabling it to run in the background without interrupting your application code.
Free modules, sometimes referred to as demo modules, are provided at no cost. These modules can be used without limitations or licensing requirements to trial the LibGSM library, allowing users to explore its features and learn how to interface with it effectively.
(Note that it is not necessary to process a free module through checkout – simply download the library to get started.)
Licensed modules, as the name suggests, require a valid license for use. Each licensed module includes all necessary support modules and is covered under a unified license. Modules can be purchased individually and added to a license at any time or bought as part of a bundled license.
It is important to note that a license is valid for installation of the LibGSM Code Generator application on a single computer at a time. Large organisations with teams working separately on different projects should purchase a license per team.

The LibGSM Code Generator is a free desktop application that simplifies the setup and integration of GSM functionality in your project. It allows you to select the required library modules and automatically generates the necessary code, reducing development and integration time. The LibGSM library includes a comprehensive user manual that provides quick start guidance and detailed information on each module. It covers module initialisation, the polling routine, callable functions, and expected output events. The library documentation is integrated into the Code Generator application, and is also available as a PDF – the LibGSM User Manual – which can be downloaded using the icon below.
